Matt LaBrie, President and Managing Broker for LYNX Property Management, Inc., brings twenty years of commercial management experience to the LYNX team. His passion for Santa Barbara, its culture, history, inhabitants and the buildings they occupy, stems from three familial generations of local investment, design, development and management that have shaped his approach and effectiveness in the real estate field.
In addition to being a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, Matt also holds a general contractor’s license giving his management and leadership a distinct advantage in the market place. His experiences managing tenant build-outs and contracting commercial and residential projects, contributes to the LYNX team’s operation and oversight of every property under management.
Feeling a keen sense of civic duty, Matt has made it a priority to be immersed in the community. As an elected Executive Officer and board member of Downtown Santa Barbara, and a Santa Barbara City Council appointed Parking Committee Member, Matt works to influence the vibrancy and health of Santa Barbara. Matt also serves on the board of Garden Court Inc. and supports such efforts as Providence Hall, Network Medical, and Angels Foster Care. Matt graduated from Westmont College class of 93’ and enjoys mentoring students and giving back to his alma mater. He is involved in leadership at Santa Barbara Community Church, and is a dedicated husband and father of five.

Jason Sunukjian, Portfolio Manager, has been a Santa Barbara resident for more than 30 years and brings 20 years of diverse real estate experience to LYNX team. Jason’s experience ranges from leasing to public works acquisitions and dispositions to corporate property management for a Fortune 100 company.
Jason got his start in real estate as a leasing agent for JM Consulting Group, where he was personally responsible for procuring over 150 leases for telecommunications facilities throughout Southern California, the Central Valley and the Central Coast. He also worked for Sprint’s corporate office in property management and lease administration before joining the LYNX team in 2006.
Jason believes in the importance of an active lifestyle, commitment to family, and service to others. Jason has competed in marathons, won statewide mountain bike races, climbed Mt. Whitney and even rode his bike from Santa Barbara to San Diego in one day just for fun. Jason has been active with his local church and in service to the homeless community. Additionally, Jason and his wife Heather are involved in several projects to alleviate rural poverty in developing countries. He is currently on the Board of Kazoza Finance and has served on the Advisory Boards of Agros International and Amahoro Africa. Jason and Heather are the proud parents of two beautiful girls.

Matt Woodruff brings to LYNX over 16 years of experience in the real estate development industry. His work has covered a broad range of development operations and construction management in the greater Santa Barbara area, including project feasibility and assessment, land use planning, project management, construction management, development, sales and marketing, and project financial management.
He has overseen and directed the construction and sales/marketing for approximately $300,000,000 in real estate, including 725 new homes, 25,000 SF of industrial condominiums, 12,000 SF of commercial/mixed-use, and entitled land since 1995. Matt has provided real estate consulting and project management services for higher educational and charitable non-profit institutional clients, with properties and projects throughout the western United States.

Jonathan Blakey, Accounting Manager, joined the Lynx team in September 2014. A hard working and driven young-professional, he brings an array of financial experience from public works, non-profit and educational backgrounds.
Born and raised in Reading, England, he worked as a financial controller for Reading Borough Council’s Highways Department before moving north to study Sports Sociology & Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating with honors in 2011. Since graduating he worked as a finance officer for Hinde House School, Sheffield, overseeing the schools multi-million pound conversion from the public sector to a private academy. In his spare time he co-founded and managed Sheffield Christian Youth League – an 11 to 17 Christian youth soccer league, which regularly saw in excess of 250 kids attend on a weekly basis.
His journey to Santa Barbara began in the summer of 2010, where he traveled to Pemba, Mozambique to live and work on an orphanage run by Iris Ministries. It was here he met his lovely wife, Claire. After four years of long distance and numerous trips “across the pond” he was finally granted his visa allowing him to permanently move stateside and marry Claire in the summer of 2014.
Jonathan enjoys spending his free time hiking, cycling and playing soccer in the Santa Barbara area.
As LYNXs facilities and maintenance coordinator, Wayne brings over 50 years of facilities and construction experience to the team. In addition to commercial projects, he has experience in custom residential, multifamily residential, military, educational, medical, and religious facilities, here in California and overseas. This experience gives LYNX Property Management the ability to manage TI and major building renovations in-house as well as respond to facility issues in a professional, timely and efficient manner.
With a degree in Architecture from Cal. Poly in San Luis Obispo and a commission in the U.S. Navy, he served 4 years overseas administering design, construction, and maintenance contracts for utility infrastructure, antenna arrays, embassy modifications, and base recreational and medical facilities. Licensed as an Architect in 1975, Wayne, his wife Beth and their family returned to Santa Barbara where he completed new and remodel projects involving program development, design, contract documents, bidding and construction observation. His interest in passive solar energy, day lighting, energy conservation, and practical design solutions has influenced his work from the beginning. His hands-on construction experience, design build projects, and extensive construction observation time has given him the practical experience necessary to deal with facilities maintenance and improvement projects in an efficient and cost effective way.
Wayne is a past member of the AIA and the Construction Specifications Institute. In addition to involvement with Santa Barbara Community Church, Wayne supports the efforts of Life Network, Network Medical, Young Life, and Habitat for Humanity. Over the years Wayne has helped the Oaks Preschool, Monte Vista Elementary School, Life Network, and the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission with projects to support their work in Santa Barbara.

At LYNX, Margaret provides financial management for accounts in a variety of asset classes including industrial, office, residential, and retail.
Margaret Chapman first worked with LYNX Property Management several years ago as a client when completing a real estate investment project in Santa Barbara. This required negotiating with the City of Santa Barbara, completing construction work to a tight time frame, and securing investor capital. The success of that project inspired her to consider further work in property investment and real estate management.
Margaret comes to LYNX with experience in real estate, technology, and education. Having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Columbia University, she began her professional journey in the emerging Information Technology sector. She worked as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and started a database design and consulting company before returning to graduate school to earn her Masters degree at the University of Cambridge. Having taught part-time while starting a family, she is now excited to return to the business environment.
In her spare time Margaret enjoys reading, mentoring college students, finding beautiful produce at the farmers’ market, and traveling in Europe with her family. Margaret and Alister have four children, ranging from high school to grade school, and they delight in all the opportunities for service and connecting to the community that involvement in their lives provides.
Connor Pace joined LYNX as a bookkeeper in March 2016. He is a core component of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, responsible for receiving invoices and writing checks as well as collecting rent and making deposits. He also assists in budgeting, tenant communication, and overall financial account management.
Connor was born and raised in Orange County, CA and moved to Santa Barbara to attend Westmont College in 2013. The various jobs that he worked during his collegiate years taught him the value of hard work, time management, and gave him the tools needed to effectively serve. After graduating with a degree in Economics & Business in 2015 he worked as a bookkeeper specializing in accounts payable for an accounting firm in Santa Barbara. This blend of academic and professional experience has allowed Connor to jump right in and become a valuable asset to the LYNX team.
In his spare time Connor enjoys reading, going to the beach, playing basketball, being with family and friends and soaking up everything Santa Barbara has to offer.
